Winter Sports Part I: By Eva Cheverie
As we all know winter is upon us which means winter sports have begun! We’ve talked to some winter sports coaches in the Masco High School to hear what they have to say about the upcoming season.
Coach Gomes coaches the gymnastics team in the high school, and she’s very excited to be doing so. “I have coached gymnastics for more than 20 years. I truly love the sport,” she said. “We have a big freshman class and I am looking forward to seeing how they will contribute to the team.” For meet schedule click HERE

“Wrestling is about life and represents its triumphs and struggles. We always tell the kids that once you’ve wrestled everything in life will be easier for you,” said Coach Darling of the Wrestling Team. “If any middle schooler believes they are an athlete they should try wrestling and find out. If they want to be challenged, then they should wrestle. It is the hardest sport at Masco by far. However once they try it and learn what it is all about their self confidence level will increase exponentially. Wrestling would be a great opportunity for any middle schooler looking to make themself better.” For game schedule click HERE!
