I thought that overall the album was incredible. The songs sounded so much more mature and developed. I noticed that she did use some voice-overs to make her sound younger but it was actually very good. Each song individually was very different and very captivating. ‘Welcome to New York’ (Taylor’s version) is a classic and she recreated it perfectly. I couldn’t even tell the difference (except this one is better) and thought that Taylor did it justice though she sounded noticeably more mature when singing it. Another small detail is that in the original Welcome to New York when she said bright it sounded like broght but in Taylor’s version it sounds just like bright. Blank Space (Taylor’s version) was amazing although it sounds just happier than the original. Style was good, it sounded just like the original but again she sounded so much older, as was the case with Out of the woods (Taylor’s version), All you had to do was stay (Taylor’s version), Shake it off (Taylor’s version), I wish you would (Taylor’s version), Bad Blood (Taylor’s version), Wildest dreams (Taylor’s version), How you get the girl (Taylor’s version), This love (Taylor’s version), I know places (Taylor’s version), Clean (Taylor’s version) and Wonderland (Taylor’s version). In You are in Love (Taylor's Version), I noticed that she added some swoomps in the background in the chorus just before the bridge but that only made a amazing song even better. In New Romantics (Taylor's Version), she sounded just some much older and experienced but to be honest, my favorites were the (From the Vault) songs. Sl*t seemed very moody and teenage angsty but catchy at the same time. It reminded me of This Love (Taylor's Version) and Wildest Dreams (Taylor's Version) combined. Say don't go (Taylor's Version) (From the Vault) was very sad seeing as it was about a relationship where she was putting her all in and he was putting nothing in. It was also very to the point, you could understand the exact situation and could visualize yourself in her situation. Now that we don't talk (Taylor's Version) (From the Vault) was just amazing but the whole song was just so catchy which just makes songs better when there is no part that you don't like listening to. Suburban Legands (Taylor's Version) (From the Vault) was so bright and sunny, it just makes you smile to listen to it. It gets stuck in your head afterwards but in my opinion it is worth it! Is it Over Now? (Taylor's Version) (From the Vault) was so catchy, pop-y and brilliant that you can't help but love it! Is it Over Now? (Taylor's Version) (From the Vault) is so good that you can just hit replay on it and listen to it all day! Bad Blood (featuring Kendrick Lamar) (Taylor’s version) was so much more layered and really expressed how she was feeling anymore! Listening to it just makes you want to get revenge. Sweeter than Fiction (Taylor's Version) was nice and I noticed that it was slightly more acoustic than the original. I noticed that she used a lot more phrases than she normally does and that she sounded happier while sounding more acoustic and less pop-y than the original. It almost seemed like she added it as an afterthought but still it was very good. Overall, I think this was her best best album and definitely her best re-release. I can't to see what she does with her next re-release.
