A Wrinkle in Time
Review by: Emma Shi
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle tells the story of Meg Murry, her younger brother Charles Wallace, and her friend Calvin when they go on an expedition to save Meg’s father, who has gone missing many years ago on a mission for the government. What they didn’t expect to find was the fifth dimension, magical planets from galaxies far away, and a great, pulsing force called IT. With the help of three old ladies named Mrs Whatsit, Mrs Which, and Mrs Who, the group sets out, determined to save Meg’s father and stop IT once and for all. This classic story is sure to have readers’ attention from beginning to end. “A Wrinkle in Time” is an extraordinary novel complete with exciting plot, lovable characters, and lots of adventure. The theme of this book has taught me that sometimes you need to be brave and take the first step, and that nothing will change if you don’t. The cliffhanger at the end has gotten me very excited to read the sequel, A Wind in the Door. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good story!
