Construction 10 Introductory (3 credits)
Course content includes construction tools and materials, product management and solid stock construction.
This is an introductory course only and does not meet prerequisite requirements for intermediate or advanced courses. 5 credit Construction 10 must be completed to advance to Construction 20. There is a $45 fee for this course.
Introductory course provides experience using hand tools and power tools. Projects will include finishing stool, turned lamp and an Adirondack chair. Course emphasis is on the safe operation of tools and equipment while developing technical skills. There is a $100 fee for this course which covers the cost of materials and a pair of safety glasses.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of the 5 Introductory Course Credits
Intermediate level builds on the skills developed in the introductory level. This class allows students to broaden their experience and skills in woodworking. Course emphasis is on the safe operation of tools and equipment while developing technical skills. There is a $90 fee for this course which covers the cost of materials.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of the 5 Intermediate Course Credits
The advanced level allows students to choose a project to work on and continue developing their woodworking skills. Course emphasis is on the safe operation of tools and equipment while developing technical skills.
There is a $20 fee for this course plus the cost of materials.
