88歲傳奇人類學家珍古德（Dame Jane Goodall）逾半的人生都在追尋動物保育與環境保護志業，並透過環境及人道教育計劃「根與芽」（Roots & Shoots），鼓勵大家學習在過程當中如何與環境和平共處，將想法轉化為行動，並幫助人類、其他動物及保護環境，促進自己的成長，積極努力的改變世界、成為環境保護的世界公民其中一員。
面對疫情席捲全球，珍古德提醒：
「人類如果不尊重動物，病毒與災難終將再次惡性循環。」
「人類必須依賴自然世界存活，當我們摧毀環境，實際上就正從我們的孩子手上竊取未來。」
