Workshop Description:
Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and trauma are things that can have lifelong impact on children. They affect how their brain works, how they learn, and ultimately how their life will look in the future. This workshop looks as how ACEs affect the brain and learning so that, as educators and caregivers, we can help break the cycle of ACEs and bring about better outcomes for our students.
Learning Outcomes:
Understanding of adverse childhood experiences, how trauma can effect learning and how cycles of trauma can be broken
