Presenter:
My professional journey and educational pursuits over 30 years have clearly led me to
a stratification of sorts. I continue to learn immensely from my students but also from their parents, teachers and peers. In order to have a more holistic approach and understanding of additional needs/student support/special needs I have engaged in learning about the nuances of behaviour modification, achievement, cognition and mental health through my Masters in education and in Guidance and Counselling and other certifications. This has enabled me to maintain compassion and inclusion at the core of all my interventions, design, counselling and educational pathway planning. Learning support and differentiation in academic settings remains at the heart of my work scope. I look forward to sharing my learning about the interconnections of these aspects and my journey.
