Maundene Weekly

Dear Parents/Carers,
The children across the school have had a wonderful last week of term.
Classes have enjoyed sharing a book with one another through their Reading Buddies, children have finished off their double-page spreads which presents all of their learning from the term and Christmas celebrations have been in full swing in preparation for the Christmas break.
The children have worked so hard throughout the term and their learning has been published in their books, with photos on Twitter and Instagram to celebrate.
We really hope you have a lovely Christmas and we wish you a Happy New Year. We will see you back to school on Monday 6th January 2025.
Miss Capes, Mrs Jackson and the Maundene Team
We are thrilled to welcome Chattenden Primary School to the IPAT family. They will formally join the Trust in April 2025 following a term of working closely together. Together, we'll continue to strive for excellence in education.
Mrs Jackson is excited to announce a new initiative to inspire our children! She is looking for parents and carers who are willing to come into school to share their career experiences with the children. This is a fantastic opportunity for children to learn about different jobs, hear first-hand accounts of career paths, and gain insights into the world of work. If you're interested in sharing your expertise, please contact Mrs Jackson for more information.
We are pleased to announce the MedwayGo Christmas Activities for 2024! MedwayGo activities are free for those living in Medway and eligible for benefit related free school meals.
This year we will be running ‘Festive Family Activities’ from Thursday 12th December – Monday 30th December, which can be booked here: https://eequ.org/medwaygo. Bookings for these activities will open on Tuesday 25th November 2024 at 4pm. These festive activities will be bookable for those eligible for benefit related free school meals and each child can attend 1 of the festive activities. There are a range of festive activities on offer from pantomimes, Santa experiences, elf academies and more. Children will receive a healthy meal or a meal voucher at each activity.
As well as the festive family activities, we will also be running our usual MedwayGo Christmas Provision from Monday 23rd December – Friday 3rd January, including multi sports clubs, dance, outdoor pursuits, snowboarding and more. The MedwayGo Christmas Provision will be bookable on our usual booking system: https://book.plinth.org.uk/calendar/ziND8yNE5jxmBALo96vR/cover from Monday 2nd December at 10am. Children can book 4 of these clubs across the Christmas programme dates.
MedwayGo will also be running another Family Fun Day! This will take place on Saturday 21st December at Medway Park. The event will run with a SEND hour from 10am – 11am and then from 11am – 1pm everyone is welcome. The event will allow families to meet MedwayGo providers, try out their activities and enjoy a hot Christmas dinner! On the day children can join in a variety of activities from bouncy castles, arts and crafts, raffles and more! The event is free and no need to book, just turn up on the day.
Kind Regards,
The MedwayGo Team
