Dear Parents/Carers,
As we reach the end of another school year, we want to extend our sincere thanks for your continued support and partnership. It's been a truly wonderful year filled with learning, growth and countless memorable moments for our children.
This past year, our children have achieved so much, both academically and personally. From excelling in their learning to participating enthusiastically in extracurricular activities, their dedication and hard work have been inspiring. We're incredibly proud of their progress and the way they've embraced new challenges. These achievements wouldn't have been possible without the hard work of our dedicated staff and, of course, your invaluable support at home.
As the school year draws to a close, we extend our heartfelt best wishes to our wonderful Year 6 children as they prepare for the exciting transition to secondary school. We've watched them grow into confident, capable and compassionate young individuals and we are incredibly proud of everything they've achieved during their time with us. While we will certainly miss their presence throughout the school, we are confident that they are well-equipped to embrace the new challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. We wish them all the very best on this new chapter of their educational journey and look forward to hearing about their future successes.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to our incredible Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for their tireless dedication and hard work throughout the past academic year. The PTA has truly gone above and beyond, organising a fantastic array of events that have not only been incredibly fun but have also significantly enriched the Maundene community. From the Colour Run to the Summer Fair, their efforts have brought us all together, fostering a wonderful sense of camaraderie and raising vital funds that directly benefit our children. We are so grateful for their commitment and enthusiasm; they truly make a difference to our school.
Finally, we wish you and your families a wonderful, safe, and relaxing summer break. Thank you to all parents and carers for your unwavering support, whether it's helping with homework, attending school events, volunteering your time or simply encouraging your children, is invaluable. We truly believe that a strong partnership between home and school is key to a child's success and your dedication makes a profound difference every single day. We're incredibly grateful for your trust and collaboration in making this year so successful for every child at Maundene.
We look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for a new adventure on Monday 1st September 2025.
Miss Capes, Mrs Jackson and the Maundene Team
Just a friendly reminder about our morning routine to ensure everyone's safety and a smooth start to the school day. Our school gates open at 8:35am and the classroom doors open at 8:40am.
This means that children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians until 8:40am. This includes the time when children are waiting outside the school premises, such as at the top of the driveway before the classroom doors open. We appreciate your cooperation in supervising your children until 8:40am, ensuring a safe and calm start for everyone.

Developing strong oracy skills is crucial for children's success in school and beyond. It empowers them to express themselves confidently, think critically, and engage effectively with others.
