We have used paragraphs to help organise our work. We used subheading to help with our structure and we have included on introduction to help the reader know what our work will be about.
We need to use facts as this makes it more interesting and it means the reader learns more about volcanoes.
We used our History skills and research to help us write newspaper articles about Boudicca and her war against the Roman army.
We were including introductory paragraphs, detailed paragraphs in the main body, a concluding paragraph, quotes and facts. We will be basing our work on facts but will be adding some bits to this to make more interesting and to fill in the bits we can't find out from our research.
Our newspaper articles will have a headline which ill be catching and engage the reader. Some of us tried to use alliteration for our headline. We have used paragraphs to help organise our work. We also wrote our articles in columns, just like you would find in a real newspaper.
We included quotes to help us imagine what people may have felt and to help add more description to our work. we also used them to help us pretend what people may have seen, these people would have been called eye witnesses.
Look on our Google Classroom for more video recordings of our news reports.

We used the text to help us identify things that we could see in the pages. We used these as ideas for our writing. We used our senses to help us.
We watched videos of volcanic eruptions to help us develop our vocabulary.
