Thank you to everyone who came for your support.
We looked at secondary sources of evidence and how the Romans built roads which made Britannia a better place. We were shocked that many of the roads can still be seen and that some looked the same as in Italy where they are straight and have ditches to let water go down them.
Dexter -Romans impacted Britain by giving us new foods that we didn't have before. This is good as we now have different types of foods and not just the foods we already had here.
Dexter - One of the things I was surprised about was that they brought cats to this country. They may also sense if other people are nearby.
Maya - I think the cats would scratch other things.
Maya - They brought different building materials so better houses could be built. They also made shops so we could buy more things and things that we didn't have before.

Year 4 learnt about the Anglo Saxons and Scots invasion to Britain and how they settled here.
'The invasion by Anglo Saxons must have been scary!' Margaret said.
'After the battles settled down, people must have started to get used to the Anglo Saxons' said Oscar.
'I think their houses look hard to live in' said Will.
