Module 5 - King Charles
Who is King Charles:
We began our study of King Charles III by looking at a picture of Queen Elizabeth II coronation and made comments about how it happened, why it was like that and what it all meant. We spoke about the Queen's life and what she achieved during her reign and if there are any standout moments we can remember. We then started to give our opinions on what it might be like for King Charles III coronation and what he might do as King.
Asking questions:
We continued our study of King Charles III by writing questions of what we would like to find out about him, to help with the write-up of our report. We then researched and found the answer to our questions which we jotted down into our Inquiry books to use when we write our King Charles III non-chronological report.
How people act:
This week, we rewatched parts of the King's Coronation and spoke about the different feelings that were happening on the day. We spoke about the people waiting and lining the streets, the people who do not want King Charles III to be king, the guest attending the ceremony and how King Charles and Queen Camilla were feeling. We then looked at different groups of people from around the country and spoke about why certain events happened, like parties, the actual ceremony, the concert and even the protests and spoke about the different rights people have to act in the way that they did.
Module 6 - Ancient Egyptians
Who and when were they:
Today in our lesson we began to learn about the Egyptians. We looked at the time period they were in and compare it to our previous knowledge of ancient civilisations (The Stone Age - Iron Age). We looked at the timeline of the ancient Egyptians and map it out chronologically, making specific links to the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. We spoke about who they were and why and how they existed that long ago.

Life as an Egyptian:
After looking at the timeline of the Eypitains last week and asking questions about who they were we began to look at them in more detail. We focused on their life and the different role and responsibilities they have in their community. We were able to rank their roles in a hierarchy and then compare that to the school hierarchy.

History of Technology:
Throughout this Inquiry, we have been looking at how communication has changed over the years. We had to create a timeline of how technology has changed that is linked to communication. We then had to select one form of technology and ask questions and research how it has changed and what we use now to help with our communication.
