We have continued with our sessions with Miss Sharp. We focused on the b, a, g notes this week.
We have asked questions to help us understand how to stop the recorders being so loud and how to stop them squeaking.

Module 2

W have been to use a new programme with Ms Simpson our Music teacher and this term we will be ocusing on the muisc of ABBA.
We listened to the music and discussed what we liked and disliked about the song. We discussed the repeated sections and how the some parts were quicker than others. Â
We used percussion instruments to create the repeated elements of the track.
We were working in groups of 2,3, and 4s to create our own music to Dancing Queen. We used the percussion instruments to help us, our groups we had agency over which instruments we used. by Luna and Lucas
Pulse - we recapped what the pulse was of our focus song "Mamma Mia". We made sure that we changed the speed to match the verse, bridge and chorus.
Using a range of percussion instruments we practiced our group performance.Â

We learnt a new song called "Crazy days". It was mostly using the C, B and A notes. There were also some vocal parts which we practiced.
We also recapped on some pieces of music that we had previously learnt. Â

Module 3
We focused on our breathing techniques. We placed our hands on our body where our diaphragm would be, it is this muscle that helps us when breathing.
We projected our voices to make it louder.Â
We used our new Charanga programme to help us identify the pulse.
Today we used the egg shakers to help us perform the pulse while singing.Â
The quicker the shaking of the egg, the quicker the pulse.

Module 4
We practiced the song from the Charanga lessons with Ms Simpson and then we made up actions to go with the songs. - Luna
We were able to perform in pairs or groups - Lucas
Children from Year 3 and Year 4 performed at the Central Theatre in Chatham. They were fantastic!
Week 3 - this weeke we focused on ensuring we knew how to play the notes correctly and played the song Hairy Scary.
