Course overview - Study Period 1 and 2
During the first half term - learners are preparing for their Health and Social Care external examination (taking place January 2023). Learners are revisiting learning outcome three and exploring the key legislations that impact on health and social care. Learners will be then revisiting learning outcome four; understanding how personal hygiene, safety and security measures and procedures protect individuals. Learners will complete a range of practice questions to help them in preparing for their examination worth 25% of their overall qualification.
During the second half term - learners will be revisiting learning outcome one; understanding how to support individuals to maintain their rights followed by learning outcome two; understanding the importance of the values of care. Learners will complete a formal mock examination for health and social care before focusing on writing extended responses in the final portion of this study period.

Half term one - in class assessment to support learning outcome three and learning outcome four
Half term two - mock examination consisting of 60 marks covering all four learning outcomes
Guidance:
Learners will receive guidance in a variety of ways. These include marked assessments, reports, feedback in books, 1:1 interaction, Google Classroom.
