Course overview - Study Period 1 and 2 - Unit 6 - Finance
C11 start their learning journey to complete the Finance Unit of Work that was started at the end of last term. Learners will need to have a good understanding of the purpose of the finance function, its role within the business and how it influences business activity.
Learners completed sources of finance, cash flow and the beginning of understanding different financial terms and calculations. Before half-term, learners will continue to understand how to calculate the average rate of return and identify break-even level of output and margin of safety from a break-even chart. The final topics are the purpose of financial statements, components of financial statements and well as being able to interpret the data given on financial statements.
Following this Unit of Work, learners will be then be starting to prepare revision resources in preparation for their C11 Mocks that will take place just before Christmas.A

November – Learners will sit AQA GCSE Business Studies Paper 1 and Paper 2 for their Mock Exams
