Course overview
Learners are all working on their non exam assessment. They have planned their own work using their gained knowledge about different materials and equipment and have all had to identify the need of a product for a particular client.
Key Concept:
Client based iterative design & visual problem solving
Assessment Points:
In line with AQA guidance we can only give generic feedback and guidance and address any mis-conceptions and prep as a whole class. We have given the class the mark scheme and example past NEA’s provided by AQA so they can see what is required and how this can be done meeting the various grade boundaries.
Guidance:
Learners have been working on their research (section A) relating to their chosen context, before we broke up for the summer break. When we returned this information will inform them about critical points to consider when they write their design brief and specification (section B). All learners will use this information to undertake their Designing (section C) and will begin working on their developments (section D) later this term.
