Course overview
During this term we will begin Unit 5 Urban Futures where we will investigate the key questions Why do more than half the world’s population live in urban areas? and What are the challenges and opportunities for cities today?. We will investigate two cities in depth as our case studies for this unit Birmingham and Istanbul.

Assessment Points:
A summative assessment will take place at the end of the unit. Throughout the unit learners will also experience Progress Checks- short assessments to check progress, key pieces of work will be marked and feedback provided as well as spelling and definition assessments. Birmingham Double Page Case Study and 6 mark question
Istanbul Double Page Case Study double page and 6 mark question
13 mark Urban Futures section of a past paper for the whole unit
Completed field work write up
