Motion
Motion challenges students to capture movement and time within a single frame. In this project, students explore three different approaches to photographing motion: freezing action with fast shutter speeds, creating intentional blur with slow shutter speeds, and panning to keep a moving subject sharp against a blurred background.
The images in this gallery demonstrate growing technical control and creative risk-taking. By adjusting shutter speed and timing, students learn how motion can be suggested, exaggerated, or stopped entirely. This project encourages experimentation and reinforces the idea that photography is not just about what is photographed, but how movement is translated into a visual experience.
