Hello Bear Family!
We made it to Spring Break! Can you believe, after this next week of rest, we will be in the home stretch?
When we return from the break, we will be in full testing, end-of-the-year mode. I say this because it gets a little crazy with final concerts, athletics events, state championships, CTAE pathway testing, AP Testing, End of Course Testing, honors night, and graduation events. We need students to be present until the end so that they can show off all of their hard work this year!
Also, as the weather changes, PLEASE help us remind our students about dress code attire. Our Bear friend below (under Reminders) is a visual reminder of what is school appropriate. I tell students all of the time that their "favorite" outfit might be better suited for an after school ball game or to hang out with friends on the weekend.
I hope all of you get a moment to rest, relax, and recharge - at least a little - so that we can finish the year strong! Old habits die hard, and as an English teacher, I would be remiss if I did not say that I hope you get a chance to get lost in a good book too. I also pray that you have safe travels both locally and farther away. We still have much to do and celebrate here at The Bluff!
Safe travels, make good choices, and Go Bears!!
Mrs. Ramsey

**Parents and Guardians, please help us out by reminding your students about the dress code. Particularly, we are seeing students wearing clothing that do not meet the dress code expectations.
**From the Handbook, pg. 8 "Examples of inappropriate dress are: Shirts, blouses, or T-shirts with vulgar, offensive, or suggestive words of pictures or which advertise alcohol, tobacco, weapons, or other controlled substances" Students are not permitted to wear clothing that says "Playboy" or "Cookies" among others.
**As the weather changes, a few dress code reminders:
1) The top or outer layer worn with leggings (no matter the length) should hit the legs at fingertip length.
2) No sleep attire should be worn to school. (This includes robes, slippers, onesie pajamas etc)
3) Hats and hoods are not permitted within the building.
Also, if your student "borrowed" a top from the front office so that they met dress code, please return those to Ms. Tess.
**Please do not drop off outside fast food to students during the school day. We are not allowed to accept these deliveries.
**All drivers must have a parking permit to park on campus. If a student does not have one, they can stop by the Attendance Office to get the paperwork to purchase a sticker. If a student does not have a sticker on their car, they are subject to being towed.
Our Student Agenda is available HERE
Please help us encourage our students to follow the dress code during the school day.
WE HAVE UPDATED OUR WEBSITE! PLEASE GO CHECK OUT HTTPS://CBHS.HALLCO.ORG AND LOOK AROUND.
All visitors, students and staff are expected to wear an ID while on campus. Make sure that anyone who is visiting campus checks in through the main office.
Parents can go to MyPaymentsPlus to purchase a second ID if your child looses it. It is the expectation for and the responsibility of the students to wear their IDs daily. https://www.mypaymentsplus.com/welcome

Our Symphonic Band students really had a fabulous performance. They are judged in 50 captions and received all A’s in each category earning their way to what could be considered a “perfect score”. They were rated “Superior,” which is the highest achievable rating and is noted as “a performance worthy of distinction, among the very best” by our Georgia Music Educators Association.
Earlier this month (March 1st), our Concert Band students (mostly 9th/10th grade students) performed at their LGPE and also received a “Superior” rating (scoring 47 A’s and 3 B’s). I am very proud of this group because they increased reading/proficiency level (our 9th grade increased their performance level two grade levels, which is a huge accomplishment).
Congratulations to the Cast and Crew of our CBHS Drama presentation of Willy Wonka Jr. CBHS has some serious talent, and everyone was excellent!
