Hello Bear Family!
Welcome all New Bears and welcome back to our seasoned sleuth! (Did you know that a group of Bears was called a "sleuth"? I just learned that recently.) Can you believe a new year is again upon us? I can remember as a little girl thinking the summer's were endless, yet as I watch my own children and my student children grow, time is on warp speed. Nothing reminds us more about the passing of time than watching our freshman take that big step from middle to high school, or watch our senior pose for their last "first day" picture. Soak every minute up!
We are so excited to get back into the groove. The halls have been alive with the sound of music. (Wait until the band performs for half time... this show is going to be incredible!) Our athletes have been braving the heat both on the fields and in the weightroom. New teachers and coaches have started moving in, as well as our original Bear crew getting set up to welcome everyone on Open House, August 2nd form 4-7pm.
I will be sending out this bulletin at the end of every month. My hope is that it is a source of information for what's happening at The Bluff. In addition, our wonderful Ms. Tess posts a Bear Weekly on social media that has the events for each week. (Don't have social media? Twitter and Instagram feeds are also links to our website) Speaking of website, we have also revamped that as well in response to some of your feedback from last year. There is a section for FAQs and as I mentioned social media posts linked to help keep everyone "in the know."
I am so excited to see everyone flood the halls this Friday, but until then the faculty and staff will be hard at work to get things ready.
Thank you for trusting CBHS with your students, and please reach out if you have any thoughts or concerns that can help us to get better.
Take care, Make good choices, and always, Go Bears!!

Cherokee Bluff Athletics had a VERY successful 2022-2023 season. We watched a lot of success and some opportunities for learning and growth for the future.
2023-2024 Athletics is already shaping up to be great! Look to hear from your coaches on Summer Workouts as we gear up for next year.
As always, it is GREAT to be a BEAR!
