Hello Bear Family!
As you know, we are in the midst of testing season, and I am excited to see our students success! Thank you to all who are keeping up with the varying schedules...it is a lot, but it is necessary. Check out the Bear Weekly that is posted on social media each Monday, thanks to our wonderful Ms. Tess.
We sent out a family survey earlier this week that is collecting data for the accreditation process our district is in over these next few months. (I am including the message we sent out below.) Thank you in advance for all of those who completed it already. If you are like me, and you may have overlooked or "bookmarked it for later," hopefully this can serve as your friendly reminder. :-)
To our students heading to prom tomorrow evening, our baseball team playing at Lovett tomorrow, and track athletes headed to Sectionals next weekend, have fun, make good choices, and, always, Go Bears!!
Mrs. Ramsey
Good Afternoon!
The Hall County School District is scheduled to renew its system accreditation in February of 2024. Accreditation ensures that we as a district are providing our students with a quality education through measurable, meaningful improvement. Because Cherokee Bluff High School values our partnership with parents, input from you is critical to this year-long process. We would greatly appreciate you going to the link below to complete a brief survey that will provide us with valuable feedback. Parents/Guardians who have more than one student in grades 3-12 are asked to complete a separate Family Survey for each school in which you have a student enrolled. This allows the district to capture your experience with each school.
The information gathered is key to helping us meet the needs of all students, and we thank you in advance for your participation.

As the end of the year is quickly approaching, so is Playoff Season. We were represented so well during this time at CB! Congrats to our Girls Soccer Team, Boys Tennis Team, & Girls Tennis Team for making it all the way to the Sweet 16! Congratulations to our Girls Golf Team who had a great showing at their Area Tournament and fell just a little short. We are also very proud of how our Boys Soccer Team played and represented Cherokee Bluff so well this season. Boys Golf is headed to their State Tournament and Track is headed to Sectionals. Also, good luck to our Baseball Team as they are headed to the Sweet Sixteen bracket to start play on Saturday at Lovett.
There is so much to look forward to as the year winds down and we begin tryouts for our Fall Sports and Spring Football falling upon us starting next week.
Cherokee Bluff Atheltics are very special and we can't wait to watch their successes continue next year!

Boys Tennis made it all the way to the Sweet 16 this year. Their season had a great amount of success and we are so proud of them!
Our Girls Soccer Team had a TREMENDOUS season finishing 2nd in the Region with a 9-1 record, and taking the team all the way to the Sweet Sixteen. The Soccer Bears fell short in a hard fought game losing in Double Overtime to The Lovett School. These girls made Cherokee Bluff so proud!

The Sweet Sixteen will be played on Saturday Apr. 29 for a DH at 1 pm. You can find updates on their website www.cherokeebluffbaseball.com or CBHS website https://cbhs.hallco.org.

**Parents and Guardians, please help us out by reminding your students about the dress code. Particularly, we are seeing students wearing clothing that do not meet the dress code expectations.
**From the Handbook, pg. 8 "Examples of inappropriate dress are: Shirts, blouses, or T-shirts with vulgar, offensive, or suggestive words of pictures or which advertise alcohol, tobacco, weapons, or other controlled substances" Students are not permitted to wear clothing that says "Playboy" or "Cookies" among others.
**As the weather changes, a few dress code reminders:
1) The top or outer layer worn with leggings (no matter the length) should hit the legs at fingertip length.
2) No sleep attire should be worn to school. (This includes robes, slippers, onesie pajamas etc)
3) Hats and hoods are not permitted within the building.
Also, if your student "borrowed" a top from the front office so that they met dress code, please return those to Ms. Tess.
**Please do not drop off outside fast food to students during the school day. We are not allowed to accept these deliveries.
**All drivers must have a parking permit to park on campus. If a student does not have one, they can stop by the Attendance Office to get the paperwork to purchase a sticker. If a student does not have a sticker on their car, they are subject to being towed.
Our Student Agenda is available HERE
Please help us encourage our students to follow the dress code during the school day.
WE HAVE UPDATED OUR WEBSITE! PLEASE GO CHECK OUT HTTPS://CBHS.HALLCO.ORG AND LOOK AROUND.

Congratulations to Jacob Benjamin for receiving Atlanta Falcons NFL High School Man of the Year!
This Award is modeled after the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year. Aside from exemplary on-field performance- selection criteria include character, community service, leadership, academics, excellence, and well-roundedness. A short explanation would be a player that has a significant and positive impact on his community.
"For those of you that are familiar with Jacob, you know that he is an “obvious” selection for this prestigious award. He literally possesses each of these intangible characteristics. He is extremely gifted, driven, and humble. In addition, he is committed to a standard on excellence in EVERYTHING that he does. I can’t remember another young man being named ALL STATE in both football and band in the same year! He is heading to further his education and football career at The United States Military Academy. Without a doubt, a great ambassador for Cherokee Bluff High School!"
Coach Tommy Jones
