Hello Bear Family!
It has been a busy February around campus. Students and staff are transitioning out of winter thinking and wishing for Spring. It is refreshing to see classes taking advantage of some of our outdoor areas to continue their learning and take in some fresh air. (Georgia weather is crazy, as we all know, so we are taking advantage while we can!)
We are super excited that February 2023 brought about Cherokee Bluff High School's first ever STATE CHAMPION! Senior Dean Wall won the title of State Champion for the 50 yd freestyle sprint, and his time was only tied, not beaten, by any other swimmer in any other classification. So proud of him!
My heart continues to be full of gratitude for all of you who help to make CBHS the best place to be. I hope you have noticed our new Bear Weekly, a request by some parents, that we are trying to put out on social media which contains info that is happening around campus for the week. A big thank you to Ms. Tess for making this request a reality! We are also working to update our website to be more functional and easier to navigate. Even this Bluff Bulletin continues to evolve as we include specific sections for academics/testing as well as AP and CTAE courses.
Check out the calendar below and Bear Weekly (which comes out on Mondays) to come support your favorite Bears in March. Check out our fabulous Bears and their Acheivements at the bottom of this Bulletin each month.
Make it a great week, Make good choices, and Go Bears!

**Parents and Guardians, please help us out by reminding your students about the dress code. Particularly, we are seeing students wearing clothing that do not meet the dress code expectations.
**From the Handbook, pg. 8 "Examples of inappropriate dress are: Shirts, blouses, or T-shirts with vulgar, offensive, or suggestive words of pictures or which advertise alcohol, tobacco, weapons, or other controlled substances" Students are not permitted to wear clothing that says "Playboy" or "Cookies" among others.
**As the weather changes, a few dress code reminders:
1) The top or outer layer worn with leggings (no matter the length) should hit the legs at fingertip length.
2) No sleep attire should be worn to school. (This includes robes, slippers, onesie pajamas etc)
3) Hats and hoods are not permitted within the building.
Also, if your student "borrowed" a top from the front office so that they met dress code, please return those to Ms. Tess.
**Please do not drop off outside fast food to students during the school day. We are not allowed to accept these deliveries.
**All drivers must have a parking permit to park on campus. If a student does not have one, they can stop by the Attendance Office to get the paperwork to purchase a sticker. If a student does not have a sticker on their car, they are subject to being towed.
Our Student Agenda is available HERE
Please help us encourage our students to follow the dress code during the school day.
All visitors, students and staff are expected to wear an ID while on campus. Make sure that anyone who is visiting campus checks in through the main office.
Parents can go to MyPaymentsPlus to purchase a second ID if your child looses it. It is the expectation for and the responsibility of the students to wear their IDs daily. https://www.mypaymentsplus.com/welcome
