We enjoyed our first full week of EIPK! I was very impressed with how the students got into a groove of our new school routine. I’m still waiting for approval from the central office to post pictures on the blog, but once all the verification forms are sorted, I’ll make sure to share all the adorable moments we’ve been having! 

This week, we enjoyed reading some of our favorite Pete the Cat stories. After reading Rocking in My School Shoes, students had the chance to get creative by painting their own school shoes. 

"We also read I Love My White Shoes! Afterward, students had fun getting messy as they stomped toy animals through piles of strawberries, blueberries, mud (chocolate pudding), and water just like Pete did in the story. 

Before we head outside at the end of the day, we gather on the carpet for Healthy Hearts & Minds time. This week, we practiced taking five deep breaths while listening to our singing bowl, enjoying the calming, gentle sound it makes.
