Here are a few highlights from our week together! Click on the follow link to view this week's photos: Dec 8 - 12

This week, we read the story Ten on the Sled, where we start with 10 animals on the sled until one by one they all fall out! Each student was given an animal from the story and had the chance to hold it up when their animal tumbled off the sled. It was a fantastic story for developing both early literacy and numeracy skills, including counting backwards! 

Below you will see the song we sang all week! The students had a great time pointing to the different body parts of the snowman as we sang along.

This week, students had the opportunity to create stunning icy drip paintings! Using watered-down paint, eye droppers, and the magic of gravity, they brought beautiful winter scenes to life. 

Students also had the chance to create adorable Christmas trees using their names! They carefully arranged the letters, glued them together, and topped each tree with a shining star. The finished creations look wonderful and it was a fun way to practice the order of the letters in their names.

            • • • We’ll be decorating cookies in the classroom and exploring a few activities in the sensory room—drop in anytime between 6 and 7 for this fun event!

      • • • PJ & Stuffy Day for EIPK

            • • Students can wear their pajamas and bring a favorite stuffed animal. We’ll enjoy a short movie, and students are welcome to bring a special snack to munch on during the show! 

              • If your child isn’t scheduled for this day, they’re more than welcome to join in the fun by wearing their PJs and bringing their stuffy on their last day before break (Wednesday).
