We kicked off this week with Kindness and Feelings themes! Check out some of our favourite centers from the week!

This week, we enjoyed the story The Kindness Book. We also introduced our first Kimochi, Lovey Dove who is kind to her friends. We practiced using "friendly signals" like waving, smiling and playing with our friends. We also focused on core words such as she, he, look/see and like.

At carpet time we started a new game, mystery hat! Inside there are three items that will have "K" sounds. Students can guess what is inside and we practice saying each item as I pull them out.

This week, we transformed our kitchen area into a Kindness Post Office! Students had a blast drawing pictures and writing letters to be mailed to their friends/family, while building language, social, and pretend-play skills. If students were caught being kind by listening, sharing, saying nice words or helping they were given a heart to put up on the board.
