WELCOME BACK 2021-22

ILLNESS AT SCHOOL

Each morning, continue to do the daily checklist and self assessment if you have symptoms. As always, we ask that you do not bring your child to school if they are sick, including coughs, sneezing and runny noses. We are already seeing a lot of sick kids at school. We will call you to come pick up your child, if your child is displaying any sick or ill symptoms. They are allowed to return to school, once they are symptom free and followed AHS Covid regulations.

DRESSING FOR THE WEATHER

Please make sure your child dresses for the weather. The fall is not very consistent with weather. Some days are warm, other can be cold. Some days start off cold and then get warm. We do go out for recess almost all of the time.

WATER BOTTLES

Please make sure you pack your child a water bottle. The water fountains are not being turned on. You can fill your water bottle, but not use the drinking fountain.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

If you family is in need of school supplies, please contact the office and we can help you out.

DROPPING OFF AND PICKING UP

Our supervision begins at 8:15, please do not drop your child off before this time. The front of the school is for "Kiss and Go" drop off, not parking in this area. The same applies for picking up. Please do not drive in the bus lane. Be mindful of the construction, we hope it will be complete by September 13th.

VERIFICATION FORMS

This forms have already gone out, please complete them by the end of the month. These are important for our school to have the most accurate information for your child on file.

ACTIVE FOR LIFE

Registration has started and the program begins next week. This program is for grade 5 and 6 students, only. If you want register your child, please contact Mr. Larson.
