Wow, what a great first few days! Students have adjusted quite well. We are continuing to practice our new routines and get used to our new protocols. We are sure glad to have all of the students back!


SCHOOL COUNCIL AND FUNDRAISING SOCIETY

Would you like to to get involved in your child’s school? Please join us on Wednesday, September 16th. School Council is at 6:30 and Fundraising is at 7:30 pm. The meetings will be virtual. Please fill out the form or email Mr. Larson for the meeting link.

DROPPING OFF

Our supervision does not start until 8:15, which means, students that arrive prior to that, are unsupervised. Please have your child arrive, no earlier, than 8:15.


PICKING UP

Thank you parents for adjusting to our new routines. Many parents are walking their children to the door during the first week, which we can understand. Moving forward, we ask that you arrange meeting spots away from the school. Outside of our doors, are getting quite crowded and we ask that you socially distance yourself.


ILLNESS AT SCHOOL

Each morning, please go through the daily health check with your child(ren). It is important that if they are sick, they stay home. If they are sick, please use the online self assessment provided by AHS. If you are required to do a COVID test, please have it completed and you can return to school once your results are negative and symptom free. This is really important to keep everyone safe. We know that is difficult, but is essential. Please contact your child’s teacher or office, if they are sick.

NEW BELL TIMES AND DAILY SCHEDULE

Morning Bell 8:20am- students either go in at 8:20 or 8:27am, depending on schedule

Recess- 10:00-10:15- Recess Group A

- 10:20-10:35- Recess Group B

Lunch Hour- 12:05 - 12:55pm Students eat in and play alternatively, depending on which group they are in.

Groups and play areas will be changing on a rotational basis.

Dismissal- in two groups 3:00 and 3:05.

Early Dismissal- 2:20pm


VERIFICATION FORMS

These forms go out on September 16th. Please complete them. They will be emailed to you and you do them in Power School. You update information and sign walking field trips, Admirable Use (computer use) and FOIP
