THANK YOU

Thank you for continuing to support our school. We are seeing an increase in students being sick at school and we appreciate it when students are kept home and do not come to school sick. We appreciate everyone following AHS health measures. Recently, we re-assessed our school policies and protocols and made a few minor improvements for our staff and students. We continue to ask students to wear masks, wash hands, and practice social distancing.

PROPOSED CURRICULUM UPDATE

There has been a lot in the news and in social media in regards to the government’s proposed new curriculum. Black Gold allowed a group of teachers to review the curriculum and provide feedback. This information was provided to the Board at a special meeting on April 22. The Board accepted administration’s recommendation to not pilot the curriculum in its current form. PLANNING FOR NEXT YEAR

Thank you to all of the parents that filled out the Declaration of Learning for 2021-22. It helps with our planning process. There is an opportunity for adjustment in August. We are just beginning planning for next year. We are putting together classes, supply lists, etc. Please stayed for opportunities for feedback.

SOBEYS AND NO FRILLS GIFT CARD FUNDRAISER

This is ongoing and will be used to purchase a new scooter dock for our school. Log onto Power School to buy gift cards.
