POWER OF POSITIVITY/FINDING THE GOOD

We got this! We are in the home stretch of a challenging year but there is still a way to go. Our staff and students have done an amazing job. This month, we will be focusing on the power of positivity and how it can be a positive influence on ourselves and others. We are encouraging everyone to “Find The Good!” as what you decide to focus your thoughts on is what you will see.

BELLEVUE’S GOT TALENT!

Does your child have a unique or special talent?! We are putting together a mini virtual talent show and the students are very excited about it. If your child is interested, please submit a video to ebs@blackgold.ca. The video should show off their talent. The video cannot be longer than 2 min. We expect a lot of submissions and want to ensure it will be a proper length. We will do this again for June, if you miss this month. Please submit your video by May 14th.

ARRIVAL TIMES

We have seen a significant increase in the number of students arriving at school well before school starts. Our supervision begins at 8:15am. School does not start until 8:30am, but we have many students arriving at 8:00am or even earlier. Students are not supervised and are starting to require supervision due to the number outside and our parks are not open in the morning due to Covid restrictions. Many students might be leaving earlier as they might be walking, biking, etc. Perhaps having them leave a bit later will help improve this.

ACTIVE FOR LIFE 2021-22

We look forward to continuing this program for our grade 5 and 6 students. The program was quite successful despite all of the Covid limitations. We are looking at running this program again starting mid-September. If you are interested in having your child sign up, please use this link.

KINDERGARTEN GRAD PHOTOS

Our kindergarten students will have their opportunity to have their ‘grad photos’ taken on Tuesday May 11th. Photos will be taken outside.

Distance Learning Kindergarten students will receive an email with a sign up form for a time slot.
