FEBRUARY 22-26, 2021

PARK USE AND GROUPINGS OF PEOPLE

Thank you to everyone who is socially distancing and wearing masks outside. We truly appreciate the effort and sacrifice that you are making. This is also a reminder that the park is also still closed after school.

This year has been tough and challenging. It has not been easy and we need to support each other. It’s easy to become complacent around the COVID restrictions. This is an entire school community endeavour and no one enjoys policing other people. We are simply trying to keep our students safe and for our students to be able to be at school. We want things to return to normal as soon as possible. Regardless of your own personal belief, we appreciate your support in following the AHS guidelines with wearing masks at school.

PINK SHIRT DAY

February 24th is Pink shirt day. We tried to send ordered shirts home on Friday, but the rest will be sent home Monday. Thanks again to JJ’s screen printing for getting the shirts made. They look great.

We have put up every single submitted design around the school. It is great to see all of the different designs and the students are really enjoying looking at what everyone else came up with. We will be having an assembly that day. We will also be hosting a virtual assembly for our distance learning students. We really enjoy our virtual assemblies. It is a great way to keep all of the students connected.

SAVE THE DATE: KIDS HAVE STRESS, TOO! SESSION

Are you the parent/guardian of a 6 - 12 year old who is experiencing: difficulty concentrating on tasks, trouble getting along with others, unexplained health issues, disruptive sleep, fearfulness, or repetitive worrying? These are some ways that stress can show up in children.

Kids Have Stress Too! was developed by the Psychology Foundation of Canada and provides parents with specific skills and strategies to better assist their children with identifying and coping with stressful feelings and behaviours.

Please join us for a Bellevue Parents Evening in collaboration with Beaumont FCSS and Leduc County FRN on March 16, 2021 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.

A pre-registration form will be sent out soon and registered families will receive a package of helpful information prior to the workshop.
