OCTOBER 12-16, 2020

FROM THE PRINCIPAL

We wish all families a restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend. It may look a bit different this year, but time with family is always important.

Students are settling in nicely and we are so proud of their great attitudes and ability to adjust to new routines quickly. Students, thank you so very much!

We want to continue to thank families and students for following AHS guidelines both at school and at home. There has been an increase of cases in our area and we ask that families follow the recommendations from the Chief Medical Officer.

ABSENCES

Thank you parents for keeping your child home if he/she is ill. Please remember to follow AHS guidelines and to use the online assessment. If you have symptoms, you need to self isolate, until you have your test results back and you no longer have symptoms. AHS has mentioned that people are testing positive for simple symptoms like just a runny nose. Things continue to evolve regularly and AHS has released another website to support parents and COVID-19. Please check out this link as we sampled a few parents and they seem to really like this new method to discern what steps to take should a student be ill:

RETAKES AND DISTANCE STUDENT PICTURES

Our next school photo day will be October 23rd, 2020. If you did not get your picture taken the first time or need a retake, this is the date set.

We also invite all distance learning students to have their photos taken that date as well. Pictures will be set up outside again, however, you can also book a photo at the photographer’s studio if you prefer to be indoors (780-437-2431).

We do have some leftover yearbooks for sale from last year. If you would like to purchase one, please contact the office (780-929-8663).
