David Attenborough
David Attenborough is a role model because he inspires people to like nature through the love of nature. At the age of 87 he is still travelling around the world making wildlife programmes and he loves animals.
David Attenborough started his long and fascinating career in 1946 after he gained a degree in Natural Sciences.
When he was 21 he joined the navy to do his National Service, which lasted two years.
When he was 31 he formed the Travel And Exploration Unit at the BBC in London.
When he was 39 he became a controller of the BBC.
When he was 48 he was awarded the CBE.
When he was 53 he made and presented the Life On Earth show on TV.
In 2012 a spider species was named after him.
In 2013 the Africa wildlife program was shown on TV.
Conclusion
David Attenborough loves nature and still travels around the world doing wildlife programs.
