Transport on Mars was one of the themes today
and the children learned to design, build and test
numerous vehicles whilst working in their groups.
You will be designing, building and testing a space buggy to be used on Mars.
1. Design a Buggy for the surface of Mars.
Design a Moon Buggy for Mars with explanation/labelling as to the reason for the design.
2. Make a Mars Buggy to negotiate the slopes of Olympus Mons
Use your knowledge from Monday of the surface of Mars, and look at the models of the slopes.
Things to think about:
The conditions on Mars
How will this change your space buggy? What will your buggy need to deal with? This should be shown as labels on your design.
What will your buggy be used for?
Transporting people? Moving equipment? This should be shown as labels on your design.
Will your buggy need gadgets?
What will you call your buggy?
