Using The Telegraph newspaper to make Geo domes
and using K'nex to design a base to build on Mars.
Today your Star has the following tasks to complete:
1. Make a Geodome out of newspaper.
Follow the instructions and work as a team to build the structure.
· How strong is the structure?
· How could you test how strong it is?
2. Make a Structure from K’Nex
Use your knowledge from yesterday, think about what you would be doing on the planet and what you would need to live, to help you in your design.
3. Draw/Paint what you think a Base on Mars would look like.
Use your knowledge from yesterday, about conditions on the planet, to help you in your design.
4. Make a model of a room you would have in your Mars Base.
Use your knowledge from yesterday, think about what you would be doing on the planet and what you would need to live, to help you in your design.
In your Constellation, can each Star make a different room, to combine them to make a complete Base?
5. Continue with work from yesterday.
If there is a task you didn’t finish yesterday you need to complete it.
Or, if you were investigating something that really interested you, you can continue researching that.
