Friday of Mission to Mars week was launch day and the children learned how to build rockets,
test them and then launch them into outer field with the help from Kesgrave High School.
They also visited an Astrodome to learn a lot more about our solar system.
Activities1. Learn about space in an Astrodome. 2. Learn about the rocket being made by KHS Space Club students. Design, make and test your own rocket.3. Complete your proposal for being sent to Mars.

2.45: Parents are invited in to look at the children’s work and vote for the star groups which they think are the most well-prepared for living on Mars.
NEW TIME: 6.00 The Astronomy Society will run a session using their 6 telescopes on the KS2 playground. We should be able to see Saturn, Jupiter and Mars. This free after-school session is open to all the children in school not just Y4, 5 & 6.
