Muscial:
It's that time of year again! J.L. is putting on their annual musical. This year, it is a "cabaret". This means that students will be singing numbers from a variety of different show-stopping musicals. There will be songs featured from musicals like Mamma Mia, Chicago, Dear Evan Hansen, Wicked, and much more. See the accompanying poster for more details so you can cheer on our very talented students. Thanks to Ms. Cooper and Mrs. Mignault for all their hard work to make this show happen.

Spirit Week:
We love to show school spirit here at J.L.! Our student council ran another Spirit Week with lots of participation from staff and students alike. Here were the theme days:
Monochromatic Monday
Tropical Tuesday
Anything but a Backpack Wednesday (Some choices to substitue a backpack included a tire, golf bag, and cart)
Wear a Jersey Thursday
Purple/J.L. Friday

J.L. Improv:  
Congratulations to the J.L. Improv team, "Find the Weird" for winning the Improv Games! J.L. will be travelling to Ottawa later this month to represent Nova Scotia amongst the nation's best and most creative improv teams. J.L.'s coaches Keegan and Ms. Whiteway were also recognized as Best Coaches. We are very proud of this achievement and wish the team and coaches good luck and hope they have a great time!

Ramadan and Eid Celebrations:
We hope that our students who celebrate Eid had a blessed Ramadan. On April 4th, students celebrated with a free lunch of tabbouleh and lentil soup to mark the occassion. Eid Mubarak!
