     It has been a great athletic start to our new school year here at J.L. Over the past two months a couple of our many sports have started up. Our football team has been working hard since this summer. You can often find the team practicing outside on the field preparing for upcoming games. As the football team closes in on the final weeks of their regular season, here are some highlights. In week one of their season: the Judges beat Avon View Avalanche 57-6 and more recently they won against Avon View again. Also since the girls and boys soccer has begun, the boys recently finished their season. The girls had their final game against Millwood this passing week. Cross Country has started and is having an amazing season. For the first time in a long time our team is headed to provincials! They are headed to Cape Breton to compete. Our girls and boys volleyball teams have started their season as well. All three of our teams have been off to a great start. J.L. hockey has just started up as well. Our girls and boys had their first games This tuesday. The boys had their home game against Sackville. The girls played in Cole Harbour against Auburn. The boys had a tough 3-1 loss, but our girls pulled out a big 3-1 win. In the upcoming months more sports are starting up so be sure to stay tuned for them!
