1. Watch this video about the carbon footprint of a BLT sandwich.
2. Watch this video about how carbon footprints are calculated. As you watch, answer the questions on the form in google drive to help guide your thinking. They are called "Guided Questions for Carbon Footprint Video."
Here is a video with some vocabulary in English and Spanish that might help you think of ideas for your project if you would like some language supports.
1. Create a poster (a regular piece of paper will do). Consider using a mix of colors and text to create something you can share when we come back together. Remember the things we include in posters: a title, pictures, and descriptive text. This poster could also be digital (such as a poster made in Paint 3D or some other software you like).
2. Create a powerpoint (google slides) to share.
3. Make a video of yourself explaining the action you will take. You might consider costumes, props, adding music, or writing a song or poem to record about your project. Make sure you are able to screenshare your video somehow during our closing discussion (such as uploading to YouTube or putting your phone in front of your camera while it plays).
4. Write two paragraphs. The first paragraph should explain some ways that you are currently impacting the planet with your carbon footprint. The second paragraph should explain at least one way you could take action to reduce your footprint.
5. Make a 3D model of some sort to show your idea. You could create a diorama in a shoebox you have lying around, or make some homemade playdough and visualize your idea!
6. Write or record a commercial to "sell" your idea for reducing your carbon footprint to the class. How convincing can you be?
7. Create a comic strip that shows your idea as a comic.
