What are class points?
Each quarter, the four 8th grade science classes (periods 1, 3, 4, and 5) compete to earn the most class points. The class with the most points at the end of each quarter will earn a reward class period to be negotiated after winning. The reward must be contained within one science class period and must cost $30 or less from Finn's pocket.

Disclaimer: this list is subject to change at any time!1 point will be earned when:
1 point will be earned when:
- All students are silently tracking the speaker when zero is reached in a countdown (voices off, facing speaker with body, eyes on speaker)
- By the time the bell rings at the start of class, all students are in their seats with materials working on Do Now silently (excused tardies are allowed)
- When the bell rings at the end of class, all students are standing behind their pushed in stools with clear tables and floor
- 100% of students are ready for a brain boost within 5 seconds (on feet, eyes on speaker, voices off)
- 100% of students are back to work within 5 seconds after a brain boost
5 points will be earned when:

- All students reach participation minimum in a Socratic seminar (earn 3s)
- 100% of students turn in a homework assignment on time
- 100% of students are present for a class period (no absences)
- No more than one group has to be asked to get back on task during a lab day
