Yesterday was Day 1 of the Place Value w/Decimals unit. Discussion recap:
1) Digits to the left of the decimal point represent whole values.
2) Digits to the right of the decimal point represent a part of a whole number.
3) .01 equals one hundredth of a whole value.
4) .1 equals one tenth of a whole value.
5) Standard Notation means to write the decimal value using digits.
