Mr. Weiss made apple, French silk, and pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving. One pie had 12 pieces; one pie had 8 pieces; one pie had 14 pieces; one pie had 10 pieces. Half of the pieces were pumpkin while the pie with the most pieces wasn't French silk. How many pieces of each flavor of pie did Mr. Weiss make? (What can you use to help organize the data?)

This is the first method that we learned for decimal subtraction.
Using the blank flats on the handout, complete 4 different problems.
Use one color. Make each X with a pencil or pen.
Number & write ALL of the equations above the flats used for that problem.
Draw a fence around each problem to help separate one from another.
