Focus: Area and Perimeter of Quadrilateral

Learning Target: I can understand and solve for the area and perimeter of a rectangle.

Task: WATCH the video: Area 

Calculate the area and/or perimeter for each of the situations from the Fish Bowl Google Form (click on the picture). 

You may use a calculator. Also, drawing a picture of the shape on the computer will help with solving. Be sure to write the number sentence used to solve AND include a unit label. 

EVERY PROBLEM SHOULD USE AT LEAST 2 LINES OF PAPER TO SOLVE.

EXAMPLE for Perimeter:

Line 1 (problem being solved): P = 4 + 6 + 10 + 3

Line 2 (answer with unit label) P = 23 cm

EXAMPLE for Area:

Line 1 (problem being solved): A = 5 x12

Line 2 (answer with unit label): A = 60 square cm
