Summary of Unit:  

This unit helps students understand the role of data and data representations in solving problems.  The goals include:

• understanding the importance of diverse representation in data sets. 

• developing ways to clean and visualize data to help make decisions.

• using algorithms to automate data usage to solve problems.  

• conducting basic research, cleaning and representing their data, and making final recommendations for solving a real world problem.
