General summary of unit:
During this three week project-based learning unit, students collaborate to design a restaurant. Throughout the unit, students focus on designing a blueprint of their restaurant. Students address entry level basic business concepts by developing a restaurant concept, defining their target market, creating a name and logo for their restaurant, selecting a cuisine, developing a menu, deciding on the location, determining the service they will provide, and the brand of their restaurant. Throughout the unit, students use a variety of apps and browser-based computer programs to carry out all project requirements. At the end of the unit, students present their restaurant plan and the winning team potentially can serve a dish from their menu to teachers, administrators and parents.
Student Goal

Through collaborative efforts, students develop project management skills and enhance their ability to communicate and present ideas effectively. Ultimately, the project aims to prepare students for careers in entrepreneurship, hospitality, and business management by providing a hands-on, holistic learning experience.
