Reception

Dear Reception Parents,

Welcome to Evendons Learning Hub! This was created during our first lock down as a way for children, parents and staff to communicate. It was so successful, we have continued to use it across the whole school as a way of sharing information with you. Here you will find all the activities we would like the children to complete over the upcoming weeks. We also have lots of resources and helpful information that will support you and your child through these weeks of remote learning. Please take some time to find your way around the hub and explore what is on offer.

Below are our expectations of the amount and type of learning that Reception children should be doing at home. If your child is in one of the Keyworker groups at school they will be accessing some of this during their time at school and should work on the rest on their days at home. There will be two live zoom sessions a day that all children will be expected to attend and a register will be taken each morning and afternoon. Please contact the year group email if your child is unable to attend a session (yearr@evendons-primary.co.uk).

Hopefully you have all been able to access the learning for the first two days of lockdown; later today we will be publishing the next couple of days' learning, and from then on will publish a week's worth at a time - you will be able to view these on separate pages under the 'Reception' tab on this Hub. We intend for all of the links and everything you need to be on here, but if you are having any issues with accessing things, please do get in touch with us at yearr@evendons-primary.co.uk and we will respond as soon as we are able to.

It is important to read through the Remote Learning and Safeguarding letter that was sent out on Wednesday 6th January. Please ensure you have read this and shared the important details of using Zoom with your child. This is new to us all, so please bear with us as we adjust to this new way of teaching. We are really looking forward to giving live sessions a go and seeing our classes in a safe and sensible way. We are hoping this goes as smoothly as possible! :)
