How do I backup my files?

What should I backup?

You do not need to backup everything! If it's already on your iCloud, Google Drive, or under an account (such as Teachers Pay teachers), you don't need to back it up.

If you logged into your Managed Apple ID (@appleid.eastpennsd.org), you have 200 GB space available. You can back up all of your files to this without issue!

Network Drive.

Classlink.mov

When connected to the EPSD Network, you have quick and easy access to the H Drive. This is a great place to store your files for easy transfer.

Please Note: If accessing off of campus, you must use ClassLink.

External Hard Drive

External Hard Drive.mov

This is the easiest option. Just transfer your important files to an external hard drive and then when you get your new computer, just plug that in and transfer over what you need.

USB-C HDMI Dongle

We are keeping our USB-C to VGA Dongles that will work with most projectors. However, if you need an HDMI connector, we recommend purchasing the Apple Certified one.

MacBook Air Case (13")

Any MacBook Air M3 13" case will work. Just make sure it includes the words "M3" and is the correct size. Some cases will also include keyboard covers.
