  1. Log into www.peardeck.com (first time only) with your East Penn Google Account to authenticate

  2. Download the Google Slide Add-On

  3. Download the Power Up Chrome Extension

  1. Open up Pear Deck Google Slide Add On when Slide Deck is open

  2. Prepare the slide first if it’s an open-ended, drawing, or draggable question (Use Templates!)

  • Text: Open Ended Response Questions

  • Number: Students can input numbers only (graphs on a number line)

  • Choice: Multiple Choice (No Limit, more of a poll)

  • Website: Takes them to specific websites

  • Draggable: They can drag an icon to a certain area

  • Draw: They can circle, highlight, annotate, & solve math problems.

Presentation Modes

To Use Live Mode: Open Up Pear Deck App and click on Present Lesson.

To Use Self-Paced Mode: Present Lesson as a Live Lesson (as stated above) and the click the ellipsis (three vertical dots) and select Turn on Student-Paced Mode. Share that code with Students on Google Classroom or Seesaw/Class Dojo! (It gives you a direct link)

Classroom Integration

When you open up your live presentation, click on the Google Classroom Icon to send it to that class!

Immersive Reader

Immersive Reader Can Change Font Size & Spacing, Font Color/Size/Background, Break Up Syllables, Identify Parts of Speech, Read Text/Change Speed, Allow for Line Focus, Access Picture Dictionary, & Translate to Multiple Languages

Adding Audio

You can now add audio directly to your slides for students to listen to Give Directions, Give More Detail/Clarity, Play Music, Listen to a Speech, and more.

How do I see Student Responses?

Pear Deck collects your students' responses in real time and saves them automatically in the Session where they were collected. You can show responses to your class on the Projector View, and view them in the private Teacher Dashboard (with Premium) in real time or after you end the Session. You can also publish responses after the lesson.
