Information on the MacBook Exchange for 2025-2026 School Year
Students and Teachers at the elementary level will be using Seesaw for parent, student, and teacher communication as well as learning activities.
Students will access Seesaw the first time by going through Clever. They can either scan their badge or use the Google Sign in. They will only have to do this whenever they get logged out. Seesaw will keep them logged in, so after the initial login with Clever, they should be able to just open up the app on their iPads.
Teachers, you can access Seesaw by just using the Login with Google. You don't need to use Clever, but you can.
Parents that were connected last year should have been automatically connected this year. However, if they weren't using the Google account last year, they may have to reconnect.
To connect new parents, simply go to your settings in the class (the wrench) and go to Manage Students and then select the student and scroll down to select Home Learning Student Code. Kindergarten teachers, you can do this for all students by going into the Settings (wrench) and immediately select Home Learning Student Code and print the entire classes to send home.
Because we have the ability for students to see each other's work disabled, if you'd like to share work on Seesaw, you must use the Seesaw blog. Seesaw blogs will allow you to:
✔️Showcase your student work in a safe, secure way
✔️ Password protect your blog
✔️ Control what goes to the blog and what stays private
✔️ Collaborate with other Classrooms Quickly & Easily
The video to the right shows you how to enable the blog and how you can set it up for your classroom!
Students will be synced from PowerSchool to Seesaw. There is nothing you need to do. Specialists, Special Education Teachers, and Guidance Counselors, you will be able to create classes right in Seesaw. These classes will not be overridden by PowerSchool or Clever.
Yes you can! You can rename them, change the color, and the icon without affecting the sync. Clever syncs with Seesaw based off the SIS ID, not the name!
No. You have to send an announcement to families first to open one-on-one messaging with family members.
It allows your school admin to create or curate activities for your teachers. Admin can tag activities with Skills as well. We cover this in our Create a Standards Aligned District Library. Teachers can also add to the library. We cover that in Seesaw 201. Or search ‘school/district activity library’ at help.seesaw.me.
