WeVideo is an online video editor with robust video creation capabilities for use by teachers and students. Secondary students and teachers at EPSD have full access to all of WeVideo premium stock content and features.

With WeVideo Classroom, you now have the ability to easily create assignments and groups for collaborative projects in WeVideo. Have your students create:

Movies & Documentaries to produce digital stories of their learning
Screencasts of presentations to explain a process
Animated GIFs to show their learning/understanding of a topic
Podcasts to discuss important issues

Which one should I choose?

Brand New Classroom

Everything is now streamlined. Create your classes inside of WeVideo, invite students, and create assignments with ease. Also, group/collaborative projects are extremely easy to set up now as students can just join their group and work together in seconds. You can even give real time feedback in their projects if you choose to!

The only drawback is that it doesn't directly sync with Schoology for grading purposes. You can, however, just add an assignment and have them download the video to submit to you in Schoology for grading.

Classic/Personal

This one is great for creating teacher videos for your lessons as well as for students to create their own non-teacher initiated videos for projects. This one will still integrate with Schoology as it has in the past, but can be a bit clunky for creating groups and setting up assignments.

This video will explain how you can create a class and how to get your students to join that class.

How to Join a Class

This video will explain to your students how they can join your class from the link/code provided in Schoology.

Creating an Assignment

This video will show you how you can create an assignment for your students in the Classroom dashboard. This is different than the past where you may have created the assignment in Schoology.
