CLEVER

Clever can be used by both teachers and students to access curricular tools such as iReady and Foss. Teachers can use it to set up their own teacher pages.

Signing into Clever

By signing into Clever, you will have access to both iReady Classroom & Foss Web. Just open the app or go to www.clever.com and click Log In with Google and enter your East Penn Google Credentials.

What apps should we be having our students login with Clever to access?

Currently, we are rostering iReady, FAST, Seesaw and Foss with Clever. If a teacher would like to put other links in, they may. However, the Single Sign On (SSO) for those apps may not work. Anything you are having students log into via their Google Account (i.e. Flipgrid, Google Classroom, etc.), should not go into Clever.

Students are experiencing a loop on the iPad where Clever doesn't log them in.

This happens because students are in Private Browsing Mode. To disable that, have them open up Safari and click on the icon in the upper right corner of the app. You'll see that it says Private with an arrow pointing down. Tap on that and select # Tabs. Now, have the student try scanning their badge or logging in again.

Pro Tip: If the students URL bar is really dark, that is a tell tale sign that they are in Private Browsing mode.

How do I sign in without a badge?

Using the Sign In with Google button you can sign into clever with those credentials. From there, you'll be able to add content to your teacher page or access iReady.

How do I add content to my teacher page?

Teachers have the ability to create additional pages, delete pages, and update page visibility. Students will see all Teacher Pages that have been made visible to them by their teachers.
